As the Administrator you’ll supervise the day-to-day operations inclusive of financial, administrative, staffing, compliance, and patient care satisfaction. You’ll use your leadership, compassion and critical thinking skills to suggest process improvements and develop staff members to ensure high quality, safe, effective patient care.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plans, organizes, directs, and evaluates operations to ensure effective and quality care and services
- Reports to the Governing Body and implements such directives, policies and procedures
- Develops and manages operations, budgets, and hiring needs/qualifications
- Ensures staff development inclusive of orientation, in-service education, continuing education, and performance evaluation
- Ensures services are supervised/directed by qualified personnel
- Ensures staff supervision including a Healthcare Manager during all operating hours
- Appoints a qualified, pre-designated person to assume the Administrator role when not available
- Serves at the Agency’s Disaster Coordinator, HIPAA Privacy Officer, Risk Manager and corporate compliance officer
- Researches and informs Governing Body and staff of important organizational, community, and industry trends
- Reviews, analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of the agency’s program to improve processes, standards, and care standards
- Maintains federal, state, and accreditation regulations, and develops reports and educates employees accordingly
- Collaborates with other agencies to foster an understanding of Agency programs
- Occasional travel to seminars, conferences, or meetings
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES)
- Preferably a Registered Nurse, or with extensive experience in Home Healthcare
- Prior health service administration and supervisory home health care experience
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills with a track record of proactive problem resolution
- Calmly and efficiently adapts, sees the potential for opportunity when challenges present themselves
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and sincerity
- Enjoys learning how things work and has a curiosity for brainstorming process improvements and finding/implementing solutions
- Pass a criminal background check
- Healthcare Administration experience: 3 years (Required)
